Service areaSt. Augustine

St. Johns County

St. Augustine remodeling by a St. Johns County CRC — not a drop-in crew.

Greater St. Augustine is a mix of older Florida houses, golf-community homes, and new construction. Palmetto Ledger remodels the ones that need a licensed residential contractor, not a historic-district specialty shop and not a handyman app.

We are honest about fit. Palmetto Ledger is not a colonial-era restoration studio. If your project is museum-grade fabric in the historic core, you need that specialist. If your project is a kitchen, bath, floor, addition, or deck on a St. Augustine or World Golf Village house — the work most owners actually need — that is our job.

St. Johns County permitting and inspection are part of doing this work correctly. A licensed Certified Residential Contractor can contract for residential construction; an unlicensed crew cannot paper over that with a cheaper bid. Jim Siebenaler’s CRC license is #1335031. He works the jobs. The company is based in Ponte Vedra, a short run from St. Augustine, Nocatee, and the rest of the county.

Older Florida homes outside the tourist blocks often need moisture and ventilation taken seriously when walls are opened. Newer houses often need a first real kitchen or primary bath instead of builder-grade. Either way, we walk the property before we quote.

How St. Augustine jobs actually go

County work, local license

St. Johns County is the jurisdiction for most of this geography. We plan the remodel as permitted residential work, not a cash side job.

Builder-grade, upgraded once

Plenty of St. Augustine-area houses are on their first real finish pass: cabinets, tile showers, LVP, a deck that can actually be used in September.

Short-term and long-term rentals

If the house also needs to stay occupied by tenants, we can talk make-ready and, separately, property management. Renovation stays the lead service.

Also: rentals and real estate

Jim is also a Florida real estate sales associate (#3579631). Palmetto Ledger offers property management for owners who want the contractor in-house instead of marked up. Brokerage activity is performed under a licensed Florida real estate broker as required by Florida Statute Chapter 475.

FAQ

St. Augustine

Do you take renovation jobs in St. Augustine?

Yes — kitchens, baths, flooring, tile, additions, decks, and make-readies in St. Augustine and the rest of St. Johns County. We are based in Ponte Vedra. Call (904) 295-5222.

Are you a historic restoration contractor?

No. Palmetto Ledger is a full-service residential renovation company (CRC #1335031). We do not market museum-grade historic restoration. We do remodel the houses most St. Augustine-area owners actually live in.
